Bog Mysteries

The Drents Museum is widely known for its exhibit of bog bodies. Our most famous bog body is that of the Yde Girl. Most people whose bodies were recovered form peat bogs appear to have died violently. This gives rise to wild speculations about the whys and wherefores of their deaths. This guided tour will introduce you to life in the province of Drenthe some 2000 years ago. Witness the harsh struggle for existence, the way of life of early inhabitants of the province of Drenthe and their religious rituals and human sacrifices.

Intended audience: adults
When: on request
Duration: 75 minutes
Admission: € 8,00 per person (excluding museum admission), with a minimum of 10 group visitors
