Discover the prehistoric landscape of Drenthe from a canoe.

Make your own ring fibula under the guidance of a museum teacher.
Have you always wondered how people in prehistoric times fastened their clothes without a button or zipper? The inhabitants of Drenthe fasten their clothes with a cloak pin, also called a 'fibula'.
Fibulas have appeared in different forms throughout history. For example, the medieval Princess of Zweeloo even wore a beautiful fibula in the shape of a butterfly! During this workshop you will make a so-called ring fibula from sturdy metal wire.
