Opening hours Drents Museum
From now until October 7, we are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Extended opening hours during Viva la Frida!
During Viva la Frida! - Life and art of Frida Kahlo, extra extended opening hours apply. We are then open almost every day (also on Monday) from 10.00 am to 18.00 pm and on Friday even until 22.00 pm.
There are some exceptions to this:
- On Friday, December 24, the museum closes at 6 p.m.
- We will be closed on Saturday December 25th
- On Friday, December 31, the museum closes at 6 p.m.
- We will be closed on Saturday January 1st
Holidays
We will also be open in 2021 on:
- Mondays during official school holidays (February 22, 12, 19, July 26, August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, October 18, December 27, and January 3)
- Easter Monday (4 and 5 April)
- Ascension Day (May 13)
- first and second day of Pentecost (23 and 24 May)
We are closed on the following days:
- Christmas Day (December 25)
- new year's day (January 1)
- King's Day (April 27)
The Museum Garden is accessible free of charge every day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the period from November 1 to March 1, the garden is open until 4 pm.

At this time, we are allowed to receive a limited amount of visitors. Order your ticket online to be assured of entry at your chosen time.
For the exhibition Viva la Frida! tickets are sold online only.

Entrance fees
For the exhibition Viva la Frida! from October 8, 2021 to March 27, 2022, a surcharge applies above the normal price. This also applies when you visit the museum with a Museum card
