Getting here by railway

The Drents Museum is located within five minutes walking distance from the bus and railway station in Assen. From the station, follow the Stationsstraat to the city centre. At the end of the Stationsstraat, cross the Oostersingel at the pedestrian crossing. Turn left and then right into the Kloosterstraat. At the end of the Kloosterstraat, you’ll see the entrance to the Drents Museum left around the corner, at De Brink 1.

There are several parking options near the museum. There are two multi-storey car parks near the museum: car park Drents Museum in the Torenlaan and car park Stadhuis at the Doevenkamp.

Visitors with disabilities may park in the dedicated disabled parking spaces, for instance at De Brink. There is no time limit for parking in these dedicated places, and it’s free.

If you park in a paid parking space, make sure your disabled parking permit and parking disk are visibly placed behind your car window. The expiry date and image at the bottom right of the permit must be clearly visible at all times. You can set the parking disk per 30 minutes. The maximum time limit is three hours.
