Tickets and prices

Adults pay €17,50 for a ticket, unless there is an exhibition change. In that case, an adult ticket costs €12.50. Children up to 18 years of age have free admission. In case of some exhibitions, an additional charge is applied, this is the case for the Angkor exhibition. Click here for a full overview of our current prices.

Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. The temple city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and plays a significant role in world history. For these reasons, we at the Drents Museum wish to tell the story of Angkor in the Netherlands as well. This is the first time this has been done in Europe.

With the proceeds from, amongst other things, ticket sales and the museum shop, we can bring exhibitions and their accompanying programmes to life. In some cases, the standard admission fee alone is not sufficient to cover the costs. This is the case with Angkor. To avoid having to increase the standard admission fee, we are asking the public for a specific additional contribution in the form of a surcharge for this exhibition.

We recommend that you order tickets in advance through our website. Are you unable to order tickets online? In that case tickets can also be purchased at the cash register in the museum.

Once the order has been confirmed and paid for, an email including the ticket(s) will be sent to the email address provided by you. You will receive this email in your inbox within a few minutes. No that is not necessary. We can scan the tickets from your mobile phone. If you have your tickets ready at the entrance of the museum, it will speed up the process.

To ensure a pleasant and enjoyable visit to all our visitors, it is necessary to select a specific day. This way we know how many visitors we can welcome that day and when the maximum number of visitors has been reached.

What a good idea! Of course it is possible to buy a ticket for someone else. It could be a nice gift. In step 3, enter the details of the person for whom you are purchasing the ticket. After payment, the ticket will be sent to the email address specified in the personal data.

No, if you visit the Drents Museum again whilst the Angkor exhibition is running, you won’t need to pay the surcharge again. On your first visit, ask at the ticket office for a sticker as proof that you have already visited the exhibition; you can show this on your next visit.
