
Objects Drents Museum exhibited in Armenia
This week, the History Museum of Armenia opened the exhibition In the parallels of ancient world: Armenia Netherlands. In it, objects from the Drents Museum are on show next to Armenian archaeological objects.
Collaboration with History Museum of Armenia
The exhibition In the parallels of ancient world: Armenia Netherlands shows a selection of fifteen objects from our collection. This includes objects from the stone age up until the bronze age, including funnel beakers. The objects from Drenthe are being combined with pieces from the collection of the History Museum of Armenia.
In 2022, the Drents Museum also collaborated with the History Museum of Armenia, for the exhibition Under the spell of Mount Ararat - Treasures from ancient Armenia. On view in the exhibition were archaeological treasures from the History Museum in Jerevan, Armenia.




Opening in Jerevan
The exhibition was opened in presence of director of the History Museum of Armenia David Poghosyan, Armenian minister and vice minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Science: Zhanna Andreasyan and Alfred Kocharyan and Dutch ambassador in Armenia Marieke Monroy-Winter. On behalf of the Drents Museum, general director Harry Tupan and conservator Irini Biezeveld were present.
On display at the History Museum of Armenia until August 30, 2025.
