Amrita Arrangement

Discover Amrita Sher-Gil and taste India right here in Assen! We're proud to present the Amrita Arrangement together with restaurant New Delhi.

With the Amrita Arrangement the Drents Museum combines art and gastronomy in one special experience. We're bundling our strenghts with restaurant New Delhi, a staple on the Brink for over twenty years. This is to celebrate the exhibitions Amrita Sher-Gil - Europe belongs to Picasso, India belongs to me and Ode to Amrita Sher-Gil.

In Ode to Amrita Sher-Gil, the Drents Museum, together with 23 Dutch museums, pays tribute to Amrita Sher-Gil, an icon of modern art in India. Discover more than 50 masterpieces, including works by Picasso, Matisse, Braque, Van Gogh, Toorop, Dumas, Corbijn, and Rembrandt.

Amrita Sher-Gil (1913–1941) united Indian and European artistic traditions in her work. Restaurant New Delhi does exactly the same on a culinary level: it brings the rich, authentic Indian cuisine to Assen and creates a place where people come together.
